Parents’ Union School Time Tables

Parents’ Union School Time Tables

Editor’s note: These harmonized Parents’ Union School time tables are taken from four sources:

1. A two-part article entitled “The Home Training of Children” by Henrietta Franklin, split across The Parents’ Review volumes 19 and 20 (1908 and 1909). Information unique to this source is in green and page numbers are prefixed with PR19 and PR20.

2. An earlier version of Henrietta Franklin’s “The Home Training of Children” which appeared in Special Reports on Educational Subjects, by the Board of Education (1900). Information unique to this source is in blue and page numbers are prefixed with BOE.

3. A booklet published by the PNEU in 1928 entitled A Liberal Education for All: The Practical Working. Information unique to this source is in orange and page numbers are prefixed with ALE.

4. An undated time table for Form V and VI which may be found in the Charlotte Mason Digital Collection (CMDC). The content of this table matches the content of the 1928 booklet (ALE p. 46), but the typography indicates it was a separate printing.

The correlation between Class numbers and Form numbers is confirmed by information found in Charlotte Mason’s School Education (1989c).

NEW! Visualizations of all six forms in a single chart:
