Christian Conflict with the Inklings
I am a huge fan of C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. But I knew little of their writing group, the Inklings, until I read the book Bandersnatch. Had it only been about meeting in Lewis’s dusty rooms to read their latest poems and book chapters I would have been sold, but there is so much more too it! There are so many good things and great ideas that Brandy Vencel and I decided to talk some of them over in a podcast. Now on both the Charlotte Mason Poetry and Aftercast podcasts you can hear our conversation. We really enjoyed our time working on this and I hope you will enjoy listening!

Finally! Address the elephant in the room…disagreement doesn’t mean division!
Thanks, ladies, for encouraging the community to focus on ideas and learning instead of focusing on being right while tearing others down who don’t share your ideas.
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this podcast. Your thoughts were fresh, inspiring, and needed!
Hi! This was a fantastic conversation, thank you so much for sharing!
Off-topic question: What are you doing for world history? I’m considering making some tweaks in that area for my own family and was curious about what you’re planning to do that’s different for your family (if you’re willing to discuss it here!).
Alexis, I’m glad you enjoyed the podcast! For world history we will be using A Picturesque Tale of Progress, by Olive Beaupre Miller, beginning with Egypt.
I finally got a chance to listen and I enjoyed this podcast so much! So many good thoughts and ideas. Before I even finished listening, I ordered the book. I’m going to have my teen read it for school then I want to read it. 🙂
