March 13, 2024

Even though there aren’t any meteor shows this month, March offers some spectacular night skies.

The crescent moon has been amazing the past few nights and tonight it joins both Jupiter and Uranus. According to, it’s the same night 243 years ago that William Herschel discovered Uranus from his backyard in Bath, England! You should be able to spot the planet about 6° due east of the moon.

Happy star & planet gazing!
